Its been revealed by a PC World spokesperson that Asus’s new Transformer Pad 300
will start shipping in the U.S. on April 22nd. Although pre-order
prices are currently around the $380 the spokesperson was unable to
confirm the pricing.
The Asus Transformer Pad 300 is equipped with a 10.1-inch screen, powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, supported by 1GB of RAM and will have 16GB of storage. Unlike the Asus Prime which comes encased in aluminium the new Asus Transformer Pad 300 will be fitted with a plastic case.
The Pad 300 is also fitted with a 1.2-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera, micro-HDMI port so the tablet can be connected to TVs, and one microSD card reader for expanding your storage if required.
The Transformer Pad 300 will also come supplied with a keyboard dock, and optional LTE together with Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.
